Preventive
Taking care of your smile, like any aspect of health care, is important to ensuring the lasting appearance, strength, and functionality of your teeth. General care, regular dental exams, and cleanings are necessary to keep your smile long-lasting, and successful in preventing tooth decay and gum disease.
Periodontal Disease
Periodontal Disease, or gum disease is an infection of the tissues that support your teeth. West Range Dental works one-on-one with patients through education and practice to ensure that patients’ teeth remain clean and free of the bacteria that causes gum disease. Brushing your teeth twice a day, cleaning carefully between your teeth, regular dental exams, and treatment—if necessary—all help to successfully prevent this disease.
Restorative Dentistry
Nothing can take the place of a healthy set of teeth, but when disease or an accident ends in tooth loss, restoring your smile is an important aspect of health care, and is one more way of making you look and feel your best. West Range Dental offers restorative implant dentistry techniques that repair or replace the loss of one or more teeth.
Crowns
Providing strength, restoration, and repair to cracked, stained, or damaged teeth, crowns provide a means to improve not only the appearance of a tooth, but also enhance the longevity and provide protection for your smile. A crown is a restoration that covers or caps a tooth to restore its normal shape and size. This treatment, provided by West Range Dental, will effectively create a cover for a damaged tooth that looks replicable of the original, not only to friends and family, but more importantly, to you.
Endodonic Therapy (Root Canal)
Endodontic Therapy, more commonly known as the root canal, is a dental procedure that can be performed to save a tooth. Following thorough examination of an infected tooth, a dentist will clean out the infected tooth, similar to the process performed during the repair of a cavity. Medication treatment, followed by a permanent fill, and tooth restoration with a crown completes the procedure.
Implants
Implants are metal posts or frames that are surgically placed beneath the gums. Following placement, the implants fuse to the jaw bone and act as an artificial root for the tooth. Replacement teeth—singular or grouped on a bridge or denture—are then mounted to the implant. Implants offer stable support to artificial teeth.
Bridges
The Bridge is a restoration that replaces or spans the space where one or more teeth have been lost. There are two types of bridges—fixed and removable. The fixed bridge is bonded or cemented into place in such a manner that only a dentist can remove it. The removable bridge, (more commonly known as a removable partial denture) can easily be taken out of the mouth for cleaning. At West Range Dental we work at restoring oral health, helping you to feel more comfortable and more relaxed about your smile.
Whitening
Caring for your teeth, and restoring your natural luster is a great way to continue projecting health to those around you.
These whitening procedures are simple, and effective and will give you a smile to smile about!
Veneers
Veneers are thin, custom made porcelain or composite material which is designed to cover the front side of your tooth. Veneers are often used to close spaces between your teeth, or cover stained teeth that could not be lightened by whitening.
Tooth Colored Filling
This type of restoration is used where there is a new cavity, a broken tooth or old broken silver filling. These restorations can be either composite or porcelain material.
